What is SEO?
Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) is the process of improving the quantity and quality of online traffic from search engines such as Google.
Will I really learn everything I need to know about SEO in 4 hours?
I teach you all of the core principles of SEO and how to apply them to your business. Because this is a one-to-one course focused solely on your business you will learn much more in a shorter period of time compared to sitting in classroom of other students.
My clients find that the 4-hour course is sufficient to successfully start to improve their search ranking and develop any knowledge they may already have.
How bespoke is the training?
The session is typically structured as follow:
1) We discuss the principles, techniques and tools of SEO.
2) I make specific recommendations for improvements and any issues that I have discovered on your site.
3) We address any specific questions or issues for which you need advice or clarification.
4) We discuss how to apply everything you have learned into an effective strategy.
We have more than one website. Can we use multiple sites as examples in the session?
Unfortunately, we will only have time to use one website as an example in the session. I recommend that you choose the site that is most important to you in terms of driving organic search traffic. You will then be able to apply what you have learned to any website.
Where will the training take place?
Training is usually held in my City-based training room near Moorgate and Liverpool St. I am also happy to visit your office at additional cost. Please contact me for details
If you have a webcam and a fast broadband connection, I am also happy to conduct the training using Skype Video.
Can I make changes to my site while on the course?
Sorry, no. Any updates to your site will need to be carried out in your own time.
Is the course suitable for a small business?
Yes. I regularly provide training for many small businesses. Please read my testimonials to see comments from small business clients.
How much of the course is specific to my business?
The course is split about 50/50 between the principles of SEO and how to apply them specifically to your business. I also include an appraisal of your current website with recommendations and an action plan to implement what you have learned.
Are there any business or individuals for which you will not provide SEO training?
I only provide training to those with an actively-trading business or organisation and a live website.
I do not provide training to anyone without an existing website that I can visit to assess the legitimacy of that business.
If I feel that the business does not appear legitimate, ethical or offer genuine value to consumers, I will not offer any training. This includes businesses of an unethical or illegal nature, sites that offer content of little or no value, drop shipping sites, affiliate sites or sites that act as a gateway to other sites.
I reserve the right to refuse any booking without giving a reason for my refusal.
What does the course cover?
Please see the course details page on this site
Will I need any previous technical knowledge to understand the course?
No. If you are able to use a web browser and have had some experience of using Google, you already have all of the technical skills you will need. Clients tell me that while they found the course to contain a great deal of information, they also say that there was nothing they found difficult to understand. I will explain everything clearly in layman’s terms.
How many other people will be attending the course?
The course will be held privately for you and your colleagues only. I do not hold public classes and believe that SEO is best understood when applied to your own business.
What will I need to bring?
You will need to bring nothing other than an inquisitive mind and a silent mobile phone. I will provide pen, paper and handouts for taking notes and free tea and coffee.
What on-going support is available after the course?
I am happy to assist with any simple questions you may have after the courses. If you feel that you need more comprehensive support after the course this can be provided at additional cost, but it is not usually needed.
Will I need to make any changes to my website?
Optimising a website for Google often involves making small changes to some of the pages on your website. These changes will be carried out by you or your web designer after the course. I do not provide this service.
Who will my trainer be?
Danny Richman – see About your Trainer
How much does the course cost?
The private SEO course is £595 + Vat (additional trainees +£95 if held in my own training room).
If you would like the training to take place at your own premises, an additional fee is charged to cover the extra time and cost of travel.
Do you offer discounts to registered charities and not-for-profit organisations?
I spend two days per week on a pro-bono basis for the Prince’s Trust, a charity supporting vulnerable and disadvantaged young people in the UK. I am regrettably not in a position to offer any discounts or concessions to other organisations or individuals outside of this arrangement.
Do you offer courses on evenings or weekends?
Sorry, no. Courses are held during office hours Monday to Friday only.
Can you provide training at my own office?
